The industry-first software-defined 4G network in a public cloud which controls a network of small cells thousands of miles away.
A patented protocol that works with any IP links, regardless of latency and throughput.
Centralized interference management improves throughput by up to 60%.
Up to 70% TCO reduction compared to traditional and C-RAN deployments.
Cheap MIMO RaaS Remote Units are easy to deploy whenever an IP connection is available
Our radio-as-a-service (RaaS) solution makes it possible to deploy, upgrade and maintain cellular networks with dramatically lower CAPEX and OPEX, accelerating new deployments and enabling profitable densification of the existing ones.
In our RaaS paradigm, there is no need for traditional cellular base stations, equipped with expensive, power-hungry, and difficult-to-upgrade hardware. Any place where IP network access is available can host a simpler "client" RaaS base station, as RaaS makes it possible to perform all complex operations remotely, with virtual base stations running in the cloud.
Fronthaul throughput (Mbps)
While the existing Cloud RAN architectures rely on dedicated fiber-grade backhaul, our RaaS solution can function with arbitrary IP connections between the RaaS nodes, which further simplifies deployment. Moreover, while the other Cloud RAN architectures are limited to a range of about 15 miles for 4G LTE, Phluido's RaaS range is in the order of thousands of miles.
Phluido prototype RaaS Remote Unit
Even public infrastructure-as-a-service clouds can be used to deploy and manage LTE networks hundreds or even thousands of miles away, thus offering immense flexibility and a dramatic cost reduction.
Fronthaul throughput (Mbps) vs load
The RaaS paradigm enables adaptive self-optimization of the network, based on the latency, throughput, and load of the IP connections between the RaaS nodes. Client RaaS base stations have significant advantages in terms of form factor, energy consumption, and cost, thus reducing both CAPEX and OPEX. Moreover, thanks to its centralized processing proposition, the RaaS framework enables implementation of advanced techniques for interference coordination and mitigation, which greatly enhance reception performance with respect to traditional stand-alone base stations.
Customers can acquire RaaS intellectual property rights as well as the full 4G LTE RaaS stack. Phluido also offers X-RAN, a cloud-based solution for conformance and inter-operability tests, trials, simulations, and modeling of cellular networks, and EccenLTE, the industry-first fully software-defined LTE mobile terminal running on cheap off-the-shelf CPUs, which makes over-the-air product testing and network analysis possible at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions.
